There is a lot of work in motherhood. Parenting involves sacrifice and heavy lifting on several levels. Conversely, we do not often think of God working; but Scripture introduces God at work – creating, shaping, and bringing order out of chaos. He is still at work today. Our challenge is to understand what God is doing and how we can participate with Him. This Mother’s Day message focuses on gaining an awareness of God’s intent through His efforts. First, God has a life-assignment for each one of us, and one of the most straightforward is honoring our mothers and fathers through our concern, forgiveness, and respect. Second is a discussion of God’s work - for us, through us, and with us. His restoration and our intercession and cooperation with Him are the keys to completing the assignment He has given to us.
